After two plus years and memories galore I bid farewell to my Six Apart family. It was bittersweet to leave behind colleagues and friends whom spent a lot of time with over the past 25 months. I have said goodbye a lot, especially over the past 5, but I am at ease knowing that the people I'm leaving behind will still remain close even though we will no longer share the office on 4th and Brannan.
I couldn't have asked for a better mid-week send-off. Thank you JDC, Chall, Kimmie, Beau Jangles, Joy, Whitaker, and Basey for lots of laughs and watermelon beer! For those who couldn't make it, you were there in spirit and definitely missed. Kimmie, thanks again for being a good sport as i 'accidentally' consumed the last of your beer.
JDC, major shout out to you and your rock star ways! You are truly one of the best friends a girl could have.
Yesterday was FUN! The Pro Products team (+ Julie, yeah!) took in a Giant's game, some greasy food, brews, and laughs (cant' get enough of Mark's 'revenge of the nerds' giggle). The weather was perfect and the Giants actually won, avoiding the series sweep!
This was the first time I'd sat in this section and although it was riddled with Cubs fans, it didn't spoil our spirit in the least.
It was fun to see everyone smiling and enjoying themselves.
We even got Julie to wear a TypePad hat for a brief time!
The random guy on the end with the Giants T-shirt casually decided to join our team photo for some unknown reason.
No Pro gathering is ever complete w/out Sippey spearheading the 'cranking' effort. Don't let it fool you, there was no real work taking place.
We wrapped up the day in a familiar venue with an unfamiliar name. Pete's Tavern, formerly known as King Fish, where we had our company holiday party two years ago has completely transformed. This was the upstairs which is now a game room/ hang out for complete randoms (not us, of course..we were there for the pool). Sippey and I (aka, Bloggy and Style) took on Julie and Beau. After an epic comeback we were defeated, but did perfect the beer hand-off. And yes, I was wearing what some thought an 'innapprops' t-shirt when observed from this angle. It does in fact say "Bloggystyle" and I did get several shout-outs as well as glaring looks throughout the course of the day.
We missed those of you would couldn't be with us and hope to plan round 2 with everyone soon! Cheers.
