The Match

The results of today have been long awaited.  It is national match day for all medical students; the day they get handed an envelope with the name of a residency program that will be their home for the next few years to come.  For some, the news is bittersweet.

The good news is, Lionel matched at his #1 choice UCSF for Orthopedic surgery.  There was one spot for the research track (6 years!) and it belongs to him.  I know I'm biased but he deserves it.  He is brilliant, dedicated and will really have an incredible impact on that field.  It's a great day, indeed.  Congrats, sweetheart!

OMG!!! This is the best news Rob - are you estatic??!!! I need to call you. I'm going to LA tonight for the Sirens 10-yr reunion this weekend, so we'll be Cali girls together again for 4 days. Muah!
